On to Dawson Creek

From Jasper, we're on the road heading ever northward back through the Rockies.
The Rockies are still a sight to behold
Riding the train trans Canada is on our Bucket List

We go through Mount Robson Park, but don't stop.

Now that's an interesting tour bus

We see lots of warning signs about wildlife on the road, but haven't seen any yet.
Moose? Where's the moose?

Lunch by the Frazier River

The roadside wildflowers are a pleasant surprise.  They line both sides of the highway for miles and miles.

As we get closer to Dawson Creek the land levels off and we see more farms.
The mountains are lower and we start to cross rolling hills

The bugs come out in great numbers

and so do the log trucks.
BIG log trucks that shake our Navion as they go by.

Just when we think the interesting scenery has run out, we turn the corner to a fabulous view.
Folded mountains in the Peace River area

Farm fields surround Dawson Creek.
Huge rolls of hay dot the fields

Large thunder heads build to the East

Field of yellow canola flowers

We stop for the night at Charlie Lake Provincial Park. After setting up our camp, we take a short hike down to the lake.

    1. LOL... delighted you're enjoying our blog. I hate to admit it, but it's become somewhat of an obsession with me.

We're currently in Whitehorse and should be on our way to Dawson City soon. Love the Yukon and want to come back to spend more time in the vast wilderness here.

It's been a great trip and we're looking forward to spending a few days at Belknap for some R&R on the way back.
