In the middle of June 2011 we decided to test out the Splinter before heading out on longer adventures by a weekend camping at Mercy Hot Springs in the Panoche area of California, which was infamous for being a safe hangout for desperadoes.

With the heavy work load and long days spent pounding the keyboards in preparing the Online Teaching Conference, I definitely needed to get out of Dodge for a much needed break.
It was just what the Doctor ordered !
