The rains have come late this year. In fact, Corralitos has only gotten 11 inches by mid March, which is a fraction of the usual 25 to 30 inches. We leave the house late, under lead-grey drippy skies. By the time we are close to San Luis Obispo, patches of blue start to show.

The next morning, we are up relatively early in Ojai to make the hop to Palm Springs.

Ahhh the beautiful wide sandy beaches of North County San Diego at low tide on a sunny day without a ton of people. It's hard to ask for much more.

These sand cliffs are in a constant state of erosion and we amuse ourselves by seeing what the local homeowners try to save their expensive homes.
